The goal of the Child and Youth Provincial Training Program is to enhance clinical competencies of Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions (CYMHA) staff across the province in order to deliver effective treatments that best meet the mental health needs of children, youth and families.
Through training and knowledge implementation, client care is improved as we strive to achieve exceptional service outcomes for children/youth and families throughout the province. It is time to train and provide Saskatchewan families with consistent, evidence-based best practice methods that are effective, efficient, and client-centred.

The training program began in 2008, since that time the program has evolved under the influences of staff surveys, committee guidance, technology, and budgetary parameters. Research was conducted across the country to examine how other provinces were approaching training in Child and Youth Mental Health.
